THE HISTORY OF PAUL SHEPPARD BLACKSMITHS With a love of horses, Paul Sheppard began his career with aspirations of being a farrier, a traditional and related craft to care for horses’ feet and make and fit their shoes. While training with hot metal over the forge and anvil, his passion for the age-old craft of blacksmithing was sparked. After completing a National Diploma in Blacksmithing and Metalwork, and demonstrating his intuitive and high standards at Hereford’s internationally acclaimed Blacksmithing College, Paul became an approved journeyman of the Worshipful Company of Blacksmiths in 2005. On account of the high quality of his work and commissions Paul was awarded a Diploma of Merit in 2016, which entitles him to use the qualification AWCB as an Associate of the Worshipful Company of Blacksmiths.
